Join me on Free Wildlife Watching & Photography Walks

Around the Tokyo Area!

Information

These are free wildlife-based educational guided walks based around the Tokyo area, by Sora, who has years of experience photographing and observing the local wildlife of one of the biggest cities on the world. Join him to watch a family of endemic Tanukis heading out for their evening stroll, or a pair of Ural Owls hunting in an urban woodland.

All walks prioritize the safety and conservation of wildlife, and no harm must come to the wildlife.

All tours are private and are booked via email or messaging.

Due to school, all walks are limited to breaks when he is available. (Feel free to contact him anytime for questions regarding certain spots)

Tanuki Watching Walk

Join me for an afternoon at a coastal park in Tokyo Bay, as we get up close to the endemic Tanuki, also known as the Japanese Raccoon Dog. These highly adaptable mammals are very elusive, though widespread. During the winter months, we can get extremely close to a group of these small mammals as we observe and photograph them.

Available Dates:

December 20th - January 2nd

June 12th - August 10th

Ural Owl Watching Tour

Join me on a walk to observe one of the most widespread, yet elusive, nocturnal birds of prey in Japan! Ural Owls live across the Japanese mainland, yet are rarely seen to their elusive nocturnal nature. Through continuous outings, I have identified a site where the owls are acclimated to human presence, and observation is possible!

Available Dates:

December 20th - January 2nd

Kingfisher Watching Tour

One of the most popular birds in Japan, these stunning birds are widespread across the Eurasian continent and have become very well known due to their beautiful plumage.

Available Dates:

June 12th - August 10th
